Hey!! Hows the XX4 hold up?

My friend Brad had one and his front end keeps breaking. Meaning his front wheel drive keeps breaking on him. It might just be him though, I don't have any other XX4s to compare it to.

He also hates how he has to disassemble half the car just to do maintenance.

I have a Baja King all hopped up and it is more durable, and has more hop ups on it for half the price of Brad's XX4.

It only cocts 80 bucks new compared to 220 and up for XX4s.

In the Dec issue of car action there is a head to head of the xx-4 WE and the schumacher CAR 3000, the xx-4 won. I have a xx-4 and it is balistic it is very durable with graphite EVERYWHERE. The xx-4 is the best 4WD electric buggy out right now, later dude.

Our area here in BC has quite a few 4WD cars. The XX-4WE is a great car. Its very durable and way better in the rough stuff than any other 4WD cars. I use a 10D with 3000's in mine and its ballistic. I put the AE-B3 front brace and hinge pins on mine and the broken front bulkhead problems have left. Once in a while you may break a front A-arm ( 2 this season after about 50 races and only a 5 minute fix) but that is a small price to pay for the best handling 4WD off road car in the world. I get about 2 1/2 hrs before a rebuild so maintance is almost non existant over the season...... Enjoy........ I Do!!!!

xx4 is bad a*s*s i just got mine not to long ago and its faster and handles better then any rc car gas or electric i have seen!and for that how ya boys stuff keeps breaking i think he needs to give his car to a real rc racer and get a baja

Rc: I know you're kidding, but at 28 Brad is no boy.

We do some hardcore bashing and these Race only vehicles have never cut the mustard for us. They are way too stiff to take a "real" beating off a track.

I think my Baja is more durable because it "gives" in a wreck and isn't so stiff it snaps at any bobble.

i have both...a xx4 and a schumacher cat 3000 and i love my cat 3000...xx4 is a major pain in the *** to work on.

ONE MORE THING XX4 IS THE IFMAR WORLD CHAMP WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A CAT 3000 OR YOKOMO HAS WON A RACE THREE OR FOUR YEARS AGO. LOSI SIMPLY OWNS 4WD RACING. CHECK THE STATES YOULL SEE

I never said the Baja could out race a XX4, I said it was a better buggy in the bashing and durability areas.

Actually rcracer, losi has the best driver. Their cars arn't really the best.

no thats wrong you might think losi has the best drivers but other team drivers are just as good but losi has the edge of the performace! witch makes them seem so much better

The xx4 is durable you just have to know how to drive, you only break things when you crash bad. The xx4 is very fast and with a hot mod motor it accellerates like a rocket. I know I had 2 xx4's one now and I put a D4 11x3 with sanyo 2400's and Tekin G9 supersonic ESC. It hndles better than any other 4WD I have ever drove.

You haven't really started much at all. There are just some fiercely loyal drivers of different makes of vehicles with biased opinions ( mine included).

But.... I have driven the Yokomos, Schumachers, Kyoshos, and the Losi 4WD cars. The Losi xx-4 is the best handling 4WD car made today. On some real smooth tracks the other 2 brands can run with the losi car if set up properly. On rough tracks there is no car made today that can run with the XX-4 and beat it with all things being equal ( Driver, motors, batteries, etc.)
This statement comes from experience and about 7 years of 4WD mod racing. In fact I would welcome any other brand of electric 4WD to try and beat the Losi XX-4's in our racing territory ( they would have their hands full believe me). http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
