Unless you have a real expensive power supply you probabaly can only pull about 12 amps which is probably not even close to what the starter box will draw. Try a 12volt dry or gel cell. It will last longer between charges, but will take longer when it needs to be.

Another thing to consider too, is that it may draw or try to draw more amps than the powersupply can handle. This would cause the fuse to blow. I tried to use a bumpstarter an mine, and the circut breaker on it kept popping.

You can get a Deep cycle battery from and hardware store for ATV's and lawn tractors for about $20. They only weigh about 10-15 pounds. I am using one now with a handheld starter and it takes only 2-4% for a race day.

http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif I am wondering if someone has run a dynamite 1/10th. scale starter box off of a power supply instead of batteries? What amps does the starter pull while starting a .12 engine? I am tired of charging the 2 6-cell packs in the box and want to be able to just plug it in the wall at my local track and keep on starting my FTGT all day long. Any suggestions or plans would be most helpfull. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
