okay since everyone seems to be snapping up older cars off ebay, I thought you all might want to see this. It says it is used but it looked clean in the pictures.. here is the link

and for all I did not post this to try to sell my own car ;-) I actually might bid on it.

Not a bad looking Champ edition... I can't tell, stealth or 6-gear tranny? Either way I might have to snag that :D

It's the 6 gear tranny, you can tell by the 4 big 1/2 inch aluminum screws in the bottom. The Stealth uses four smaller and much closer ones. If I was going to start bidding for something old, this one looks a lot more tempting. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1600905082

And I wonder if it's a champ edition, or original RC10 with some champ parts or other way around. The front shock tower doesn't look like the Champ Edition one, it looks like the original.

Doesn't look like a stealth tranny, based on the screws in the bottom ...

EDIT: DOH ! You beat me to it ;)

I forgot all about looking at the screws to determine the tranny in that RC-10. Thanks for refreshing my memory :D

That JRXpro is nice... but I want one with the oldschool 5-link rear suspension. I loved those buggies! That one even has period correct tires... stagger ribs in front and X-patterns in back! I ran that same tire setup on my old Team Car back in 1992.

Still, I really, really want an old Tamiya Avante. That is the car I really wanted back when I was 9; I got my Falcon, radio, batteries, and charger for 1/3 of what the Avante cost by itself. I shall own one, sooner or later. A *very* nice one cropped up on ebay a few months ago but I didn't have the bucks for it. A decent one sold last week for about $175, but it looked like one of the rear radius rods was bent, and it didn't come with the manual or box. I can wait; they'll be one with my name on it sooner or later :)

lol, brings back memories...there were so many cars i wanted when i was 9 - basically anything faster than the nikko hurricane i had back then. an older kid down the street had a traxxas cat that just killed my car. he was mean though - he would switch his crystals to the fixed 27mhz band on my toy just to interfere. when i eventually got my stampede i ran over that **** cat, lmao

Wow, that JRXproSE only went for $91. Someone got a good deal... Had that buggy had the 5-link suspension, I would have bought it.

I think that it is time to break out my old RC10 Championship Edition and clean it up. Last I remember, it was in dire need of a full rebuild. :)
