What would happen if u charged a 1500 mah battery for a couple hours more than the recomended time? I've never done it i am just curious wut would happen. :D

well... the cells might leak and it is bad for the batts

What kind of charger are you talking about? If your talking about a 5+ hour wall charger, then not much will happen because the excess charge will be mostly released as heat. If you talking about a timed charger, with a high amperage output (3-5 amps), then the batteries would probably leak, and maybe even explode.

So, here's my advice: Don't do it :D

I saw a guy trickle charge, at a fairly high rate, some packs on a monster truck once & the result was that they expoded & blew acid all over the place, including in my eyes! When they started to hiss I tried to quickly remove the charger wires because I was the closest person to it. Not such a good idea.
Next time I'll just get away from it & let it take it's course! :eek: :mad:

ok to tell u what a 7.2v bat. left in a nikko mt (LOL) does when over charged with a 5min charger but charged for 10 ( i wish i took pics) the cells get really hot and brust and melted the plastic door and makes the pack and part of truck unreusable, so just DON'T OVER CHARGE!, see even 5mins can make a diffrance, but this was all old stuff from the early 90's late 80's
