How hot is too hot?

I'm new to electric and was wondering how hot is too hot for my Mini Quake. I put in a modified motor and it seems like it gets really hot. Is 180*f too hot?

For bashing I'd say thats running a bit hot. If you could get it down to about 150* you'd extend the life of your electronics. I'd suggest you drop a tooth or two on your pinion (or go up a tooth or two on the spur...)
