I recently posted a topic that was asking for some fast gas cars under $450. All the replies were on-road so I would like to know about some fast off-road cars. I would like to thank the people who returned my previous question and I appreciate it.

Thanks
Erik

I don't have one, but everyone usually suggests the Associated RC10GT.

Aye, definetly the GT. Pop an RB Concepts .15 in there, you can make the car hit around 50 easy. My friend made his GT go 59.8, no mods, but since you are probably a beginner, you wont be able to tune the car to its best abilities, no offense!

Without investing a whole lot, most gas offroaders will do between 30-50 stock. Most RTR's will do in the mid to upper 30's and a race truck with a high end engine will be pushing 40 stock.

I'm going to say the RC10GT will be the fastest and the best quality!!!A nitro Rustler will be fast but not as good of quality as the RC10GT!!!And a T-maxx is Tougher than NAILS!!!!!!!!! BUT WILL BE SLOWER THAN THE OTHER TWO!!!!!Those are my personal pics!!!!!Just wondering: are u going to be racing?????If so then probly your going to want to go RC10GT!!!The Rustler could race but u might have to spend more money on hop ups for a Rustler to make it so u dont get your butt whooped in a race!!!!
Hope this helps u out!!!!

Thank you

It seems my choices are the RC10GT, the RC10GT, and the RC10GT. How about something like a Pirate 10 with a .21?

Thanks
Erik

No one suggested any 1/8 scale buggies. These are quicker then the RC10GT and they also handle much better. You can get the Thunder Tiger Eb4, Ofna GT LX, OFna MBX and also the new MBX R2 all for around 450 dollars. These cars will smoke most RC10GT's

I agree. Around here the Losi XXXNT dominates!!

If you're looking for a bargain on a fast dependable R/C, you should look at the OFNA Ultra MBX. It's similar to the Ultra GT LX, but it has the new pivot ball front suspension. It's only $389 and it screams. I have three friends who own them and have had great luck.

For long term reliability, you can't beat 1/8th scale. I use less parts on my EB-4 than anyone I know with a 1/10 scale R/C, and I go through about a gallon of fuel a month.

I have two nitro off-roads.... Stadium truck and a T-Maxx.... Stadium truck is a little faster but the T-MAXX is the tough one. Besides... who is going to hit a jump at 40+ mph... not me man... i got too much money in this hobby to breakem....

I would have to say the T-Maxx is more fun... Factory says the T-Maxx goes around 30...

If I run 30% nitro and tune it just right I bet you $100 I can beat that one hands down.

Go get a T-Maxx... you will be glad you did!

How come no one has suggested the Losi XXX-NT? Anyways I personally can not recommend it because I do not have any pure stadium trucks (have HPI NMT R) but will call your attention to our gracious host's (RCCA) recent gas stadium truck shootout in which the Losi consistently turned in quicker lap times, with more ease, than the others.
