Correct if I'm wrong here but do I use "eazy off" oven cleaner and a small wire bruch to remove the anodizing? And will it leave little brush marks on the metal?

Interstate, I tryed that a while back on a MIP pipe that I had that was Purple. The oven cleaner Pitted the Aluminum so bad that it wasted the pipe. Don't Do It!!!
There is a product on the market that will Safely remove Anodizing, unfortunately I don't know that name of it, but it has been posted here before.
I Just removed the anodizing on a set of Old DuraTrax Shocks I have with fine grit (400 and 600) wet/dry sandpaper and water. It worked great and didn't leave any marks in the aluminum, and they Polished up to a Chrome Like Shine. :D
Hope this Helps.
The one I've heard is drain cleaner...
That my too trash a part...
find an old part to try it on first.
Follow mfg. WARNINGS the stuff is NASTY!!!
it is NOT a user friendly product...
(I ate a hole in a nice poly/nylon coat once)
BE CAREFULL!!!

Sand paper is effective too !
It is a lot of work, but ... well ... it is reliable ;)

Just use a buffing wheel with some metal polish.
