Hey everyone,
Here is problem numero uno.
I went out today to the local school field to fly the plane for the first time. It was a little windy, actually very windy, but me being the big-ego-machoman teenager i decided i could have my first flight in the wind.
So, I set everything up, walked to the middle of the field, and slid it to full throttle and... IT FLEW!!
It was amazing to watch it climb into the wind. Then after about 3 seconds of gazing I realized that I had to fly it(darn) and I took over. First I made a nice turn to my right, and it doubled its speed as it took off with the wind. I jammed right again to turn, and this succeded and brought eh plane back towards me. I went on for another 5 minutes fully enjoying myself until it started to go really fast really far away and I jammed the stick to the left to get it to turn back, giving it a little bit more throttle to get it to turn faster.
Bad Idea.
With the 12mph wind gusts, one hit right then and the plane climbed. I paniced, sent down rudder to dive.
Ahh, it worked, plane back on course then..
another gust, and i gave ti a little more throttle because i was planning to land it right next to me, but it went up, somehow i nudged the stick and it turned, and spiraled into the ground from about 30 feet.
So i saw it land on the side end of the wing, and i was completely relieved when i saw absolutely now damage at all. Just the very end 1/32 of the wing was a little bent, which i bent back then adn there. But then i noticed the plane looked funny sitting on the ground. It was doubled over backwards. Upon a quick further inspection to my dismay, the tail boom had been completely severed off, and to make matters worse, it was about7/8ths of an inch from the end of the main fuselage thingy.
So here is my question, And i would appreciate answers quickly,
A)Will the 50 cent tail boom repair pieces be enough? Will they be able to fix the book so close to the fuselage?
B) is there any way that i can order just a new tail boom?
C) or do I just have to pay up the 42$ for a new fuselage?
Just wanted everyone to know though that the plane was absolutely amazing in flight, super powerful, i had it on almost 25% power into the wind and it was making headway!! Easy to control, but next time i'm definitely going to start it up in pro mode because I like sensitive controls. Otherwise, It super durable besides the tail boom,(wings can take a beating) and its fast and cool, and amazingly quiet.
Thank you,
