Dust boots for MIP CVD's?

RMR makes CVD boots in a bunch of different colors. I think stormer hobbies carries them if your lhs doesn't

What does the boots do? will they keep the pin in?

They cost 7 bucks a pair when I bought them, and they bite it big time.

Just by some shrink wrap, and save yourself the wasted cash.

They never stay on, and seal NOTHING.

Too late hpiguy, I picked a pair up at my lhs. How important is it to keep the cvd's sealed? Do I even need the boots if I keep them clean?

As long as you clean them, they don't really need any booties.

I got em cause I am lazy about stuff like that, but it didn't help.

But their customer service isn't that friendly, and if you have anything backordered they will hold the ENTIRE order until it arrives, if you want the order shipped before the BOs come in they will bill you twice or three times for shipping, for each backordered item.

I ordered a pair from Stormer and requested 2nd day delivery. After waiting 4 days I emailed them on my order status. They replied saying they only had black in stock. They could have contacted me the same day I placed the order. Now it’s been a week, and when the black ones arrive I better not be charged the increased postage for 2nd day delivery. BTW, I picked up a pair at my LHS and I haven't had a problem with them yet.

Hey Zed:

Did you get the guy on the phone who always seems too busy to help, or even take the order to begin with? I always get that guy.

Oh and ten bucks says they still bill you for 2nd day shipping, even though they jacked up your order.
