Tekin Electronics?????

within the last year or so i have heard many rumors that tekin has gone out of busness, and then i have heard otherwise.. also i have talked to people who send repairs to them and never get them returned and have no luck contacting them because they never seem to answer any of their phone extentions.. i am looking to send a bunch of stuff back for repair <bc5a and a speed star> and am wondering if im doin the right thing or if im just mailing my electronics to never see them again.. also if you go to tower hobbies all of tekins products are on back order.. whats the deal?????

i think i would hold onto that equipment for a couple months to give tekin some time to get back on track..... i am not saying you will never get your stuff back..... but after my last experience with them, i think you will your equipment back FASTER if you wait 4 months to send it in..... just got my esc back after 4 months of waiting

btw, i put it in my new buggy, with new motor, new receiver and radio, and new battery, and it's STILL broken ... and yes my Novak Dually works perfectly in the same buggy, as does another old Tekin esc that i have.....

I have heard the same rumors before I bought my Tekin Rebel. But I bought it any way and am very pleased with it. I run a 13T with a 18T pinion (that is broken now) and like 87T on the spur and it doesn't overheat. I did some searching on the Information Superhighway and found out some interesting stuff that made me feel more confident in my purchase of the Rebel. I heard that some people sent in there products and got there stuff with in a matter of weeks. But I also read that some people were waiting months for their stuff. Don't exactly know what the deal is with that though? I read that they are indeed still in business but things are just running a little slow.
