Hi guys. I want to get a decent radio that will work good for fun as well as some racing on Saturday nights. It's more or less fun racing so it's not like I need top of the line. I don't want to spend too much...which one should I get?

The Futaba 2PEKA ( i think that is the FM one) is good, so is the JR XR2 and XR3, this one is a popular choice at my track, but all you need really is end point adjustments, servo reverse switch, and steerign and throttle trim. those radios above will run from 90-160

I agree with XXXER. The futaba 2PEKA is a good radio. Just make sure you get FM.

The cheapest digital FM radio is the JR XR3 at 169.99 I own one and it is a great radio, with 3 model memory.

The cheapest FM radio is a hi-tec lynx.

Futaba Magnum Sport FP-T2PB. Its cheap and they are really good to race with. Im not giving mine up for jack. ST.Trim-Servo Reverse SW. Steering and Throttle.

I raced all my cars, including nitro, with a Futaba PBKA older Magnum JR am radio for years until very recently when I bought an Airtronics M8. Although I love all the options on the M8, I never had any glitches on my 27mHz AM radio...just didn't have all the bells and whistles. But it got the job done for a heck of a cheap price!!
If you're really on a budget, there's no reason you can't get by and get by sucessfully with a Futaba PCKA Mag JR.
How is the JR Python w/ ESC for a beginner?
