OK, so maybe this is old news, or just obvious, but I learned this evenning why Losi rubber has such a hard time going on Pro-Line wheels.
The Losi tires (and wheels) have a .23" bead width and the Pro-line tires (and wheels) have a .20" bead width.
Doesn't sound like much, but when you trim the Losi beads to be more narrow they fit 8 million times better.
Can someone explain this to me ? Conspiricy theories are sounding better every day ;)
How stupid. Utterly DUMB !
This industry needs a standards body, big time. Like IEEE or EIA for the electronic industry. My big question is who can possibly benefit from these two companies having a different standard ? NOT their customers, that is certain.

The late night hours must be getting to your head, jeep. I think that's a typo. They should be different.

I bet jeep has his house set up to incinerate without damaging surrounding buildings... do you have a bunch of copys of "The Catcher in the Rye"? lol I hear where you are screamin from yo, and there is a lot of micky mouse crap to be found, but its that way in all industries... hard examples fail me at the moment, but my mind i shutdown for the day.

OK, hehe, the conspiricy part was a stab at humor. I mentioned it (regarding tires) in another thread and got some flak for it. Oh, wait, that is what I am getting now. Hehe, I see :P
The good part is that there is a simple fix: Trim the losi rubber down. It'll go right in like a dream. Been gluin' tires like mad lately. I should write a book on it ;)
And, NO, I did not pay full price for them. But, I cannot divulge my source lest I wish to never see 1/2 price tires/wheels again
See, there you go rubbing our noses in it again, Jeepinator ;) I gotta know how you get tires 1/2 off. I just poured another $38 into new Proline rubber. Fortunately, they *do* seem to fit just fine on the HPI wheels...
And nobody on this board thiniks you're paranoid--it's the voices in your head telling you that.

The voices get to me too Jeep.....last night they told me to burn down my house. Ha don't be jealous because voices talk to me.
Anyway, i think there should be a sertin size the companys should go by. It would make it alot easyer tire wise.
OH NO........got to go (someones telling me to steal a police car......another long night!)

Never ever ever listen to those tiny voices! They convinced me to sell my car for a plane! Anyway I like planes so no harm done...yet.

Alright, Jeepinator, tell me why my Pro-Line Holeshots don't fit on my Losi XXX wheels worth a crap then...

Depends on how they don't fit... it might be too loose, in that case, use lots of CA. If its too tight, then jeep is lying... (by the way, jeep, did you research this or use a ruler to measure the widths?)

obi112,
I used a set of Mitutoyo digital calipers, accurate to .0001 inch ;)
They did on the "Oh no, these Losi tires dont fit my Pro-Line rims. I guess I gotta go buy Losi wheels." theory. You make a certain size product and make something else which will be the only one that will fit it, you make more profit.
I must be in the business mood today, i just recently posted a "Horizon/Tower" (Trinity part II" topic.
