out of country shipping??

my lhs in the neworleans area does not stock my parts but i found a site in hong kong that sells them pretty cheap. would you advise ordering from out of the country?? i also checked on ebay and their parts are both limited and expensive.

If you dont mind waiting 14 days or more useing USPS. or if you dont mind UPs or FedEx prices for shipping. Still has to go thru customs w/USPS.

Sounds like maybe you should invest in a vehicle that your LHS carries parts for.

It doesn't always take that long, I've ordered parts from one or two Hong Kong shops(RC Market is one, & they've done well for me), & for a few more dollars, they can Express ship it, which can get the wait time down to about 4-7 days(last time I did it, took 5 days, & that DOES include customs, but it did cost me about $25 to ship it that way, I believe they call it EMS Express). And with the lower price of a number of their items, if you order enough, you'll still save more even when using the Express shipping method....:cool:

I have ordered and received parts from China without any problems, it just takes a while to get here. One order took 3 weeks to arrive.
