Radio Buying Questions

Hello all of you diehard r/cers like my self.I have a friend who got out of the hobby about 2 months ago .He has a Xr2 in prietty good condition.He is selling it for 45 bucks ........should i buy it.I am currently using a Futaba 2pck radio.It works great but should i switch to this different radio or not?

for $45? thats a steal...buy it as long as it works. Make sure everything works. (the radio, reciever and servos) The XR2 is a very good radio...dont underestimate it. Its 10 times better than your futabu no offense

Keep the Futaba! Why spend more money on something you really don't need, oh and by the way Futaba is the best radio out there in my opinion!

I am debating on which radio to put in my Nitro Sport. I have the Traxxas TQ sys & a Futaba 2PC sys. Which sys (or comb of tx, rx or servos) would be best for this little nitro r/c?
