"Hey everyone, I just got back from the track (that modest little place we like to call home), and I'm happy to report that we got a ton of work done and we're right on schedule for our predicted opening on Saturday April 16! We also put our collective heads together and (finally!) got all the rules laid out.
As you can see we've added 27t Stock Touring Cars to our weekly series, and eliminated foam tires from the rules for electric TC's. And...after much discussion and debate, we have come up with a list of what motors will be legal for both the On-Road and Off-Road 19T classes. Since these are "Spec" classes, we will be requiring you to run a "Spec" motor. This means a fixed 24 degrees of timing with a non-adjustable endbell and a tagged armature. Below are a few examples of approved motors that you can use, so go ahead and grab yourself one of these bad boys and you'll be good to go. Please keep in mind that we will be adding to this list as more options become available.
Legal 19T Spec Motors:
Team Orion Element 19T Spec Motor
Reedy Spec 19T Quad Magnet Motor
Trinity Chameleon 2 Pro Motor
Now that that's out of the way, here's a quick rundown of what we'll be running on a weekly basis:
Saturday: Off-Road
Electric Truck: 1/10 2WD electric truck with any 19T spec motor listed above. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
Electric Buggy: 1/10 2WD electric buggy with any 19T spec motor listed above. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
Nitro Truck: 1/10 2WD nitro truck with any ROAR legal .12 or RTR .15 engine. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
Gates open at 10:00 am, and racing kicks off promptly at 12:00 noon. Three rounds of qualifying and mains.
Sunday: On-Road
27T Stock 4WD 190mm Touring Car: We've opened up the rules this year to allow any ROAR legal 27T stock motor. 190mm four door sedan bodies and rubber tires only. No Can-Am or GTP style bodies. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
19T 4WD 190mm Touring Car: Any 19T Spec motor listed above. 190mm four door sedan bodies and rubber tires only. No Can-Am or GTP style bodies. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
Nitro Touring Car: 200mm 1/10 4WD nitro touring car with any ROAR legal .12 or RTR .15 engine, with your choice of foam or rubber tires. 200mm four door sedan bodies only. No Can-Am or GTP style bodies. Chassis and bodies must meet ROAR specs.
Gates open at 10:00 am, and the starters tone will be sounding off promptly at 12:00 noon. Three rounds of qualifying and mains.
Wednesday night: NASTRUCK
1/10th scale NASTRUCK series: Any ROAR legal 1/10th scale 190mm four wheel drive touring car chassis, and rubber tires only.
Motor: Trinity Street Spec motor only (part #SS2226), and must retain all stock parts. ie; you can only replace worn out parts with exact replacements. No aftermarket or non-spec parts are allowed. And yes, we will be checking the brushes, so please make sure they are the multi colored braided kind. :-)
Bodies: Bodies should be of a fleetside style and resemble the ones that are currently being run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. For more info about which bodies are acceptable, check out this thread on our message board. New for this year: All bodies must be painted in such a manner that they can be easily seen by the other drivers around you. That means no black, dark blue, dark green etc. colored bodies unless they are heavily accented with bright colors.
Gates open at 6:30 pm and the racing begins at 7:30 pm. Three rounds of qualifying and mains. This will be a pretty tight program as we need to be finished racing by 10:00 pm."
If you have seen my cen ct4-s i am going to try to get in there to race it this saturday! My first time tho. Is there anyone in the area that is going to be there? I was wondering if you think that this is a good track, and what kind of cars that you have.
If you have any pictures of your car, no matter if they are racing here or not, post them!
