I have a super nova 250 dc charger. However sometimes I want to charge indoors. I do not know what kind of converter to get though.

Can I use a computer power supply. I already have several laying around?

Yes you can use a power supply from a computer. I converted an old one I had and it works good. Cheaper than buying a new one.

Any links on how exactly I can do it?
I know very little about it.

Try the rcoval site (www.rc-oval.com) look at botton of page for Back Issues under April 2002 is the article PC Power Supply Conversion has pictures, text decribing the process with some safey dos and donts. A couple of others rc sites also (cannot remember which ones) posted either pictures and discriptions on rewiring as well as a few people posting here.

I use the 12amp Victor Engineering power supply and it's been working great for me. I bought at http://www.promatchracing.com/misc.htm for only $40.

I second the Victor 12 amp power supply. I too ordered it from promatch for $39.99. Works great, will allow me to run 2 chargers at 5 amps a piece. It is very small and light as well.

I use this with a Duratrax Intellipeak Digital. (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=2-1/qid=1113186098/ref=sr_2_1/602-7526972-6542210?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0002ISQ5G) $20 in the store, YMMV.

I've been using my Bench PSU for the past year. It runs cool and very quiet.
