Hello.
I am currently trying to decide on a 1/8 scale buggy. i havent ruled out any of the rtr.. or any kits yet...my estimated budget is about 700 dollars... im not trying to have a race only car,, but it needs to take alot of abuse and be fast... my main concern is fun with an occaisional race at the local track...I am also very curious about the new car that GS silicones is going to offer. Any info you have would be appreciated

I dont know much about 1/8th buggies, but i think the ofna RTR's are pretty good. Just ditch that wheezing standard servo in the steering. Oh, and the GS Storm looks like it could cost some serious coin. A $165 JR FM radio, an engine, a 1/8th scale buggy together sound pretty expensive. If that car comes out to be like $400, I might get a little leery, because I'm a pessimist when it comes to "to good to be true", but thatsme :). That would mean that the car and the engine together would cost about $235. Maybe its just an awesome price, or maybe it's a cheapo car. But, with GS's good history, i doubt its a crappy car. I've been looking at it myself. All i know is that I want a Mugen XR Works....yummmm. But, umm we're talking in excess of $1,000, yikes!! Haha, where would i get that...

Oh, and a kit would cost you some BIG dollars. For a good engine and radio with the car, it would be like $800+. But, that new Ofna thats coming out looks really trick! Dont take my word for law, because I really act like i know more than I do about 1/8th buggies, LOL.

Maybe a Kyosho MP6 sports?

Oh yea. LOL, another thing. If you DID happen to race your "Sports" buggy, it might get the crap kicked out of it. Anything other than an MP 7.5 or Mugen (or some TTR's and a tricked out Ofna) gets humiliated at my track.
