View Full Version : How to spray a body?

Hey guys I should be getting a mp 777 soon but im not sure how to paint it..? And what colour to do it...? All my other cars are just one simple colour. Im not too sure how to do two colours, but I was hoping to just use spray cans, is this possible? So can you guys help me out with some tips and colour schemes...? Thanx

There's plenty of places to move you along your way to finding the painting holy grail. In the meantime, read this (http://www.rctech.net/articles/painting_hauntedmyst.shtml) (<=clicky thingy) and get some ideas. It's done by one heck of a painter and all around good guy.

Here are pics on my mp777. it's almost complete now. Anyway, you can go to the site and look at it. may give you some ideas. BTW, the middle and rear is actually Orange, fading to red, little hard to tell in the pics.

Nice set of wheels Jamminjay really like the paint work too "thats kinda what im after" Was it hard to do? Anyhow thanx Piggy too im going to give that site a read Thanx guys

Well stevo.... I'm prolly not the one to be giving advice I just thought it might give you some kind of ideas. I have only painted 3 bodies using masks. All 3 were hand cut, and masked with masking tape instead of liquid mask. I'll put links to the other bodies here as well. I am new and a beginner myself. but I got alot of compliments on the 3 bodies from my friends and people at the track. The 2 matching bodies are my race scheme for my 777, and xxxNT, the other is my friends GT. I am trying to start painting for friends and people at my track just to get some experience.
