Anyone else do this? I find it very fun and challenging. I waterproofed the reciever and ESC of my TAO3f, and removed the belt to make it FWD only. It doesn't even spin out! It's so fun though, with the front tires spinning like mad (they spin anyway when it's dry out), and stopping power is almost non-existant. Even if I slam into reverse the car keeps going with the wheels turning backwards. I think this would be cool and very challenging as a new type of racing.

It's not crazy if you water proof the electronics. It's also really fun.
It's not something I'd do everyday, but it *can* be fun sometimes. Once, I got caught in a Thundershower while on the far side of a park from my gear and any shelter. By the time I decided to head back, the rain was coming down in sheets. I decided to chase my RC10GT across the grass rather than carrying it, and at full speed, she was throwing up water roosters almost 7 feet high the entire way across the park! Fortunately, nothing got fried on the car (thanks to balloons and a receiver cover).

Running a car in the rain doesn't only damage the electronics but water will corrode any metal it touches so be careful to dry off all the metal pieces when your done.
