what would you recommend for a good all around power supply. I only race in the stock class and would like a power supply so my charger will charge at 5 amps. Thanks.

I have the one from promatch- the victor. 12 amps MAX 10 amps continuous. but that is all you need. ran it for about 12 hours yesterday and it was OK. Ran an new duratrax ICE with 6 amps charging no problems, so it should be good for ya.

while on promatch get a battery pack too :D

Here is another dumb question. Once the power supply shows up, what is the best way to connect my charger to it? Do I just run a couple of wires from the power supply and then use the battery clamps from the charger to clamp on? I have the Pirahna digital peak charger.

I don't have a picture on-hand, but normally power supplies will have a place where you can clamp on alligator clips, or sometimes banana plugs. If you have alligator clips and it comes with banana plug connectors, just stick a piece of copper tube in the banana plug hole and clip the alligators on. Just make sure the contacts don't touch :D

I say shell out $50 and get you a 12V car battery and 1amp trickle charger for it and charge your cells to your hearts content!!!
