I have a Traxxas Stampede, with MSC. I just bought a Fantom 16 turn Triple motor, for my RC10B3 when i get it. I want to use it in my Stampede until i get my RC10B3... Would the be to much for the MSC... Just for a short while?
I have a 2400 battery, but i also have a 1800 i would use if i put the motor in so it would not run as long.

It could be, You really need a ESC. That msc might catch on fire because that motor draws such high current.

Just run a lower gearing, & don't run at low speeds too much. The heat comes from running at low speeds, & the lower gearing will reduce the amp draw. You might want to back off the timing a little also, just mark the original position 1st. I wouldn't run it too
long that way though. Hope this helps.

NOT a great idea. My 19 turn overtaxes a Traxxas MSC. Make sure that vu have a fire extinguisher around..

Then I'd go with what Zwelch said.

OK here is a reason why u shouldnt do it . I went outside to run my TLO1 for the 6th time i plug in the batt, drive around a bit next thing ya know i see smoke pourin out from under the body well my MSC caught on fire but i unpluged the batt. and blew it out no prob but if that had been a lower turn motor my car would have been melted plastic! BTW i was running a stock 540 in it!
