Here is a description of a car I just bought for $405. Did I get a good deal or did I overpay?
Thanx in advance for the opinions.

You are bidding on a used Team Associated RC-10 T4 Truck. Brand New (unused) Pro-Line "Crowd Pleaser" body painted and stickered. Custom gold flake/Racing Red Parma color. New (used once) RPM "Torkerz" wheels, and Pro-Line "Tractagator" tires. Also comes with stock body and tires. It comes with factory sealed full ball bearings. The motor is a Hacker Brushless C40 8L (8 turn) riding on ball bearings. The speed control is a Hacker Brushless "Master Car Competition Controller". It's so fast, yet so quiet. Run times are much longer than on "brushed" motors. This set-up can support up to 12 cells of power! The Novak Brushless set-up can not. If you want to know about these superb pieces, go to www.hackerbrushless.com. A newer Futaba Magnum JR. controls everything. The charger for battery packs is an FMA Direct Supernova 250S. It is a DC charger (racer's know why), but can use AC if you purchase a converter. If you don't know what this thing can do, google it and check it out. It's amazing! I have three battery packs included. One is the onboard 4-cell Hitec Nickel-Cadmium 270mA flat pack. The second is a 7-cell Sanyo Nickel-Cadmium 2400mA flat pack. The third is a 6-cell GP Nickel Metal-Hydride 3300mA flat pack. All three can be charged by the Supernova (adapter included for 4-cell). Deans connectors on battery packs and charger. All soldering done by a master of the art. Lots of spare parts included are: Diff. rings, outdrives, diff. balls, screws, washers, anodized blue parts, oils and greases, stabilizers, and even a counterfeit transponder. This thing runs like a sewing machine! NEVER any problems! I have been building and racing R/C cars for 20 years, and this is my best set-up to date. Imagine never having to custom design or replace brushes in your motor again! This is a racer's set-up with the simplicity of plug-n-play. Expect half hour runs at full blast on current set-up: 13 tooth pinion/ 6-cell NiMh. Also included are two brand new pinion gears, a 15 tooth, and a 19 tooth. Original box, kit instructions, charger instructions, and ESC and motor instructions all included. Please do not bid if you can not pay!!! That's why this is the second time being listed! Any questions, e-mail me. Happy Bidding!!!

here is the item number 5965098491

I didnt want to post an ebay link and break the rules. Even though this auction has ended.

I figure the item number is ok since it is over.

A bit too high. RC cars are like real cars once you build them or drive them off the lot you can hardly get the original price or amount you invested in it, regardless of quality.

yeah but isnt that like over $1000 for all that stuff brand new?

I would consider it a fine deal, since the brushless stuff is included. If you break it down, its about $100 for the truck, $75 for the charger, and $200 for the brushless and $25 for the rest of the stuff. Sounds like a good deal to me.

That is one gawdawful paint job on that shell though. I saw the pic and it is a good deal. I hate to see someone think they are buying a good rtr but there is always a crappy charger and cheap batts but yours seem pretty good.

Highroller - did you see it was a brushless system?

bigsig my first impression was that it was a bit high too but not sure what used brushless systems are going for these days. If it were an ordinary T4 in mint or semi-mint condition with the accessories I'd probably say $200-$250 is tops, but with the brushless it's hard to say.

Even if you overpaid for it, you're going to love that truck. :D

I would invest in some different tires though. I have a pair of those and they eat themselves up if they are run on anything remotely hard packed. They also dont turn to save their life.

Well everyone was right. I love the car. The tires are good for grass and loose dirt. They are worthless on anything hard though.
I did a check for all my parts and new I would have spent apx. $1250.
So it was a good deal for me :p

I raced my buddies 1/8th nitro buggy and I have better speed the first 30yds. then he get about an extra 5 mph more top end and pulls me even at about 60yds. Then of course he passes me.
Thats OK because I am only running 6 cells and I am going to run ten soon. I think I just might smoke him then
