View Full Version : RC10T3 Factory Team Trouble shooting
Hey, I just bought an RC10T3 and after about 6-7 packs, the steering is completely messed up. When the car is on the ground and i turn the wheels via remote control the servo's motors make a jiganto-loudo shrieking noise. I called Associated, but they were of no help. Even when i turn the wheel slightly the servo makes all kinds of noises. Also, the car is broken in, but the fact that it is broken in is not why the steering doesnt work. The reciever isn't broken, so its either the car's steering or the servo. Im not too sure what to do, can anyone help me? I use a Traxxas TQ radio::embaressed:: and a Hitec 605BB servo. I use a bunch of other crap, but that shouldnt matter. hehe...when i first bought this car the shock shafts were the wrong lengths...i regret I didn't go with a Losi.

It sounds like your steering servo is toast. Have someone at your local hobby shop (LHS) take a look at it for you.

the factory servo saver on the B/T-3 AE vehicles is definately a weak point... it simply won't react to quick hits well enough.....
the official AE web-site recommends putting a very slight amount of black grease on both of the part number 9155 servo saver pieces..... you can also slighty round off the bottem of the top 9155 piece so it will react better to sharp hits and save your servo's.....
normally you would just pop in an aftermarket servo saver, but the space is very limited in the B and T-3's.... if you use an aftermarket saver, you will not get lock to lock steering in both directions... so that's why i mentioned the hop-ups for the factory saver...
also... if you can, buy a metal gear servo for your truck.. they will be much more durable.... but be careful which one you buy, as very few will fit in the AE chassis without modifications....

Yes it definitely sounds like the servo is dust. You may be able to get a rebuild kit for a few dollars. Get a metal gear servo. The aftermarket servo-savers make the steering too sloppy. I love my t3, hate the servo saver.
Hey, thanks everyone. I hope that my car starts working...I only have one car, I am using 3000mah batteries, so basically im screwed. This is my second car (first being a Rustler). Anyone want some blue screws??
