I have some white plastic parts I want to dye black. Do I just buy black clothing dye? How warm should the water be on the stove?
Thanks

Yup, just dye it like you would fabric. A slow rolling boil works fine. Use a pot you won't cook anything else in to be safe. I heard a pressure cooker works really well to get a really deep color, especially on fiberglass (Which can be dyed but it takes a long time).

BTW: What kind of plastic is it? Some 'plastic' cannot be dyed without warping or melting. Nylon takes color the best, and the boiling actually strengthens the parts by making them more resilient to impacts.

Just a little precaution. Don't just dump the dye in the sink to get rid of it when you're through. Your mom/wife will be unhappy. When mama's not happy, ain't nobody happy. :D
