Bryceums, I wish I could help you, but I am not familiar with that motor. Is it a modified? If it is what brand, and wind?

I would start with a 17, but you may still need to go to a big spur gear, 87 or so. That is for a XX buggy, right? Thats a pretty hot wind. The Nebula is designed for onroad, and I believe the Aurora is for off road. It may work out fine though. Do you run on pavement or off road most of the time?
I can only guess, but that gearing should be close. Just keep a check on the temperatue & run time. It may make the brush springs get hot...keep an eye on those too. Good luck.

when i went to my lhs i asked a sponsored driver there and he said the the nebula is a better motor for off road he said that the auora was not of the same quality that the nebula is

I Have a XX CR KE and I run an Orion Chrome Touring Modified 15X2 with a 23 pinion and an 84 Spur. It can keep up with some nitro cars at a local track.
According to the instruction book I should use a 21 pinion with my setup but I haven’t any problem with the 23.
I check the book for your 11Turn motor and it says to use a 17 pinion with an 84 spur gear. You can try a different setup for your motor but be careful not to over gear the motor.
:) :)

so the 18 and 82 wont work what is the corect gear ratio i got 3.36 from a 25 pinion and 84 spur 4.67 from the 18 to 84 and 4.00 from a 21 to 84

Bryceums, Extreme Vtec suggested 17 x 84 & that is real close to what I said before. If you have a spur thats around a 87 that would be close to the same with a 18 tooth pinion.
87/18 x 2.19=10.58
84/17 x 2.19=10.82
These are fairly close to the same.
If you have a 17 tooth pinion start with it
(10.82), If not try the 10.58. It's not a big change though.
