where to get? what type? how to instal? Radio Shack stock number?

Capacitors have two ratings, capacitance and voltage. The value of capacitance isn't very critical for suppressing motors, but the voltage rating is. It should be rated for at least 2 times the applied voltage (battery). There are also a number of different types of capacitors for various uses. A 'ceramic disc' type is fine for this purpose (cheaper too). A value of something between 0.001 and 0.01 is good. (Sorry, don't have the Radio Shack number, but they're very common. Even the people working there should be able to find them, maybe.)
