nobody at all? can anyone tell me at least if the emaxx 7 cell batts can fit...what if i made my just like that but instead of it being of the top right ...put it just on the top middle.

The only was you could fit a 7 cell pack would be to not use the battery strap and use tape somehow. Why do you want to run 7 cells anyways?

yea i was just gonna use some velcro and put it on the bottom of battery. reason is becuase i have a few cars and i just wanna make that one my race only car...so i figure i drop a 8 turn motor and run 7 cells ...that should be ok.

8 turns and 6 cells should be fast enough

yea, but i was just thinking...why not go 7 cells. if im gonna make it fast..might as well make it a lil faster by adding just another cell. unless 7th cell is not a good idea..... comments/opinions welcome here i still havent puchased the battery yet

by increasing the voltage (more cells) you will decrease run time and cause more motor wear. plus it is a PITA to fit 7 cells in your car, just run 6. go brushless if you want even faster

sorry..im sorta new , what does pita mean. i dont go racing at any tracks. but with the 7 cells would that make my car faster tho. i m even thinking of going 6 turns now heh

pita= pain in the ass

7 cells will make it faster but it will also reduce run time because you will pull more power from the batteries. and wear your motor faster. if you just want to go fast get a pan car and add a brushless, or add a brushless to your pro 3, less maintenance and very fast

The motors most people use are designed for 6 cells. If you run 7 cells, it will start to degrade the magnets and soon it will not run as fast. Stick with 6 cells and be sure to watch the gearing. Dont just put the biggest gear you can find on it in an effort to go fast. You will just burn it up. Only run for a minute or so at a time and check the motor for getting hot. You should be able to hold you finger on it for a few seconds.

hmmm..thanks for the tip randy. it ll be ok to run 7 cells once in a while right...or not at all?

Its your motor, you can do what you want. If its a new one and you spent some decent money on it, I don't think its worth it. If its an older motor and you don't have much invested, go for it.
