yeah, I'm with Tim. lose the tamiya connectors and go with deans or powerpoles. I don;t even think I see anything stock left on it lol

It looks great! Now someone has to come up with a better plastic(or Lexan for me) gear box and better drive shafts. I hated the MIP ones they couldn't handle the longer suspension travel I was using! The alum. gear box sounds heavy for racing and bashing! but with 12 cells and BL System that shouldn't matter! Might need extra set of shocks in the rear to support the weight of that alum gear box? Good Job! Can't wait to finish my "Invizo truck"

ok heres a little trick- Get the stock universals, and get some dower and stick the dowel inside. it will help toughen up the stockers. and yeah, I'd get another set of shocks to help out

thanx for the input guys. dont worry the tamiya connectors dont stay, deans will be going on all 12x of the new packs in due time. just showing the fit and finish of the placed batteries.
anyone here run a UBEC instead of a receiver pack, if so let me know how they are?
havent got to run it yet, still waiting for the aluminum gearcases from R2-C2, and final mounting of everything. my wild dagger aluminum stuff from R2-C2 came out AWESOME, and i am sure that these will be sweet as well.
i dont think the weight will be a problem with the aluminum gearcase; if it is i will use stiffer springs.
Maxx sized wheels and wild dagger gearcases for example, checkout the offset on the wheels:
