I just recently purchased what I thought was a pre-painted body. Much to my surprise, it came unpainted. Now I'm new to this and have no idea what to do or where to begin when it comes to painting.
Can I use spray paint cans? If so, what type works best. I don't want to invest in an air compressor and air sprayer at the moment.
Your help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

That article was VERY informative. However, I still have a couple questions that I hope you can help me with.
The article didn't mention, at least I don't think it did, the types of spray paint cans I could buy, i.e., the name/brand? Am I pretty much limited to what they sell at the hobby shop, or can I get spray paint cans off the show at a hardware store or something?
Lastly, how do I make those nice fire flame designs? Do I have to buy the mask for them or can I cut them out of like masking type or something?
Sorry if these questions are sorta of off the wall.

"Pactra" is probably the most common type of spray cans used and can be bought at most any hobby shop dealing in RC products. Flames can be hand cut from masking tape or from mask kits. If this is your first go, I would stick to a simple masking kit for the flames. Be very careful to get the mask tight to the body or the paint will bleed underneath the mask. Also spray in several thin coats to avoid bleeding and running paint. Let dry between coats.

Thanks Bryan. I will give it a shot.
In parting, where can I buy a mask kit?
