I foresee, alot of broken arms and/or hubs. Especially on the 777, which I have read are already kinda weak on the front.

It's probably no worse than the GS SUT and its axle extenders. They work fine on that truck. Is anyone gonna offer clutchbells and/or spur gears to work with the bigger wheels and tires from Pro-line?

Those extenders are okay but still not great. No matter how you do the extenders, it ends up putting too much pressure on the rim's center, the bearings, and the steering knuckles/hubs. It would be nice if Proline would just make 40 series wheels wheels with the correct offset and a 17mm hex specifically for truggies.

I am SO OVER pro-line and there 'gimmick' crap.......this is a chintzy design that will put WAY too much stress on the knuckles and arms......period. Pro-line should realize that OFNA has been selling these adaptors for at least 2-3 yrs now. I am sure however that PRO-LINE and the 'WERE THE BEST' attitude doesent care however because anything to make a buck. The most creative thing pro-line ever made was aluminum bulkheads for the DOMINATOR-PIRATE so they could have T-Maxx style suspensions. When is PRO-LINE going to release there OWN car design and manufacture it??????.

I hope the Manufacturers see that CRAP is being made to convert buggies to truggies, and actually release TRUGGY KITS designed from the ground up like the HB lightening PRO. MUGEN I am sure will release their MBX5 conversion kit anytime soon now, but wheres KYOSHOS???, OFNA already has the 9.5 blazer SST and the HYPER RT coming soon.

Back to PRO-LINE........... there hub adaptors are still CRAP and clearly 2 yrs too late.....as said before I could buy Identical OFNA adaptors for 3 yrs now

Okay you got me there.....because these hub adaptors are EXCLUSIVE to Pro-Lines SUPER wheels..LOL

Check OFNAS webpage and you can find hex adaptors to convert your buggy to a truggy in different lengths....but not in the 23mm hex size but instead standard buggy hex size.

This 23mm hex is another PRO LINE gimmick....I have never had problems with the T-maxx standard hex....Savage standard hex.....TNX standard hex...or MGT standard hex.................PRO-LINE will probably release 28mm hex adaptors next year..lol..lol

I completely agree with this. What were they thinking making the hexes 23mm? Were they trying to make it so that people will have to buy their hexes?

The problem with monster trucks is that the 14mm hexes can't take the power that a bigblock engine can dish out. The 17mm wheels that OFNA put out have way too much offset and they're not all that much better than running these 23mm hexes with their super extenders.

I haven't seen these in person, but they sure look like 17mm hex's to me... 23 would be huge...

Anyone see em in person yet?

wow-never had a problem with savage hexes? i did when i had my savage and i almost purley raced it. the 23mm hexes are prolly near indestructable and i think its a great idea for trucks. this on a buggy will still require different gearing which proline doesnt say which i think is kind of decieving.

The problem majority of the time is the 'stripping' of the inner wheel well where the hex gos into...not the actual hex itself......HPI makes the worst wheels on the market and are famous for this.....the minute I used Pro-Line velocitys or even Traxxas stock wheels the problem was gone. If it is indeed the problem with the hex...are your hexes the stock plastic....I only use aluminum hexes and ZERO problems.

FACE IT some people BUY the hype.............I dont ;)

First off, I don't work for Pro-Line and I think the hubs are a great idea. I never stripped wheels on my stock T-Maxx but after installing a Hyper .21 engine I destroyed a few sets of wheels by Traxxas and Pro-Line. My stock Monster GT also ate up a new set of 40 series wheels so the hubs are a welcome product in my book. I think the Ofna wheels and hubs are great but I just don't recall the last time I saw anyone at the track with anything but 40 series Bow Tie tires. However, for the price of the hubs Pro-Line should have at the very least thrown in a dang wrench for them!!!!

You can't fault a Manufactoring for making new stuff,
you can only fault people for thinking they can't live without it..............

I'm with you on the hype part, but I disagree on HPI wheels. Their 2.2 wheels have lasted longer on my 13x2 powered E-Pede longer than any other wheels and I drive my trucks like they are rental vehicles. You may have meant that about their MT wheels, in which case I agree with you. 14mm hexes for MTs should have gone out the door after other monster trucks started hitting the market.

Even a 17mm hex would have done better, but Pro-Line stayed with the 14mm hubs only to find that they were paying out the wazoo to replace peoples' tires and wheels from failed hexes on their wheels. Instead of going to 17mm or 19mm, they went straight to 23mm and, of course, you have to buy their overpriced adaptors to go with the new wheels.

I remember when Pro-Line had a much greater piece of the wheel and tire market, but in my opinion, they have failed to keep up with the times and focused more on hype than function. At least, for the most part, they still are putting out great bodies, but when it comes to wheels and tires, I see far more people going to companies like Panther and Imex instead.
