having a problem.nowhere in the manuel does it say if its suppose to be locked or what.it only says tightend enough so it dosent fel gritty and dosent slip.ive heard somewhere a locked diff gives equal power to both wheels but causes cornering and low steering?a loose or i guess proper adjusted diff allows more power to 1 rear wheel to powerout the corners faster?
i dunno someone correct me if im wrong.i cant seem to figure out the proper way, locked or tightened enough so the diff dosent slip.

It says to not run it loose enough to slip before the slipper assembly does. If you are not to worried about turning ability or run a hotter motor you should run it very tight, I personally run mine this way. I have heard to run it all the way locked then unscrew it 1/4 turn to 1/8 of a turn. Just hold one tire and the spur gear and turn the other tire. If the slipper slips before the diff then you should be fine.

You want the diff. pretty tight but not locked. You want it to feel a bit gritty when you hold one wheel and turn the other back and forth. You will be able to tell its not too tight if you just turn one wheel and the other turns opposite - making the diff actually function. This is usually the best way to determine how to set your diff. and proide you with the best performance.
