What should I do with my tax refund check?

Well folks, I've allocated about $1K from my tax refund to go toward a new R/C vehicle. These are the ones I have in mind:

1. Ofna Jammin' X1CR Pro Kit (plus accessories)
2. X-Ray T1FK '05 (and accessories)
3. Losi XXX-T MF2 (and accesories)

What do you think?

well you've got yourself a list, in order, from most expensive to cheapest, 3 of the nicest cars out there in their class. really its up to you but if you need EVERYTHING for each car $1000 prolly isnt enough for the ofna, the xray would prolly be $850 and the MF around the same.

I've got a starter box for the Ofna and a lot of the smaller accessories there. I would need the servos, engine, etc. On the other hand, for the electrics, I'd need a good charger (CE 35 Turbo) and a power supply (Bulldog) and batterypacks (Pro-match and the like). So it's going to be expensive either way--but you're right to point out that $1K probably isn't going to be enough.

i think you should buy me something really nice with your tax refund.....LOL!! jk, out of the three choices, i would go with the 1/8 scale buggy just because i think they're awesome. the xxxt would also be a cool choice however i LOVE the high-end nature of any xray product. i guess it comes down to what you want to race, if you want to race and where you want to race. good luck,

Okay, its up to you for what you want to get. I've always wanted an X-Ray, they are very cool but couldn't afford it. RCCA did a review on the Jammin and it had some nice results. Neither would be a bad choice :)

I'd like the Jammin because it's a sweet 1/8 buggy and I'd like to get into this class of R/C, but engines and other accessories are going to push this over $1K

I'd like the X-Ray because it's a beaut, and from all accounts about it's predecessors, the X-rays drive really well and are (relatively) break-resistant. But, I'd need a good charger and power supply (which I really need anyway) and I'd need some packs.

I'd like the Losi because it's a proven winner and they're great trucks. I've already got an old tricked out T2 (which I've been asking folks about in the T4 thread) so I'm less inclined to get another ST before I race the T2 again. And, I still face the electricity bill. I guess I could always go for the Adam Drake off road...Hmmm.

Decisions, decisions, decisions....still not sure.

What's the "Chrono"? Who makes it?

crono is the company-they make the rs-02, rs-01 and i think theres an 03 coming. they also make the prima but its not the competition level car the other 3 are.

another not on the CRONO it's some thing like 500 or 600 bucks but comes with EVERY THING you need. Good radio nice engine even a stater box with 2 7cell batts.

I've already got an M8 and an NTC FT and a couple other cars--I'm really only looking to get another vehicle not another radio, etc.
