Any tips on how to remove my tires from the rims. Is there any way to weaken Losi treadlock with out damaging the rims. Thanks

Boil em , I say! 20 minutes out to do the trick.

Get a tupperware container that your mother is not going to miss, and make that your designated tire removal container. Go to a store, and pick up stuff called Acetone, and pour it in, drop your tires in(I suggest cutting off the tread of the rubber, and taking out the foam, and leaving only the sidewalls, it makes life easier). Let them soak for a few hours, and then take out, and using gloves, or some type of hand protection, pull them off, should come right off. Do this outside, and not just in a well ventilated area, this stuff is extremely stinky.
OR, better yet, steal your sister's nail polish remover, it's base ingredient is acetone. But, it may take longer to do, because it is not pure acetone.

Yep, Acetone's the go, but I'd use a glass jar instead of mummy's Tupperware. If the jar has a screw top lid you can seal it up and save the partly-used Acetone for next time. You should get 2 or 3 uses out of it.
As for nail polish remover, in Australia anyway, not many (if any) have acetone in them anymore, health reasons I think. (Acetone is baaaad shite).
Another tip, I usually cut most of the rubber off with a hobby knife, just leaving the stuff that's stuck fast with glue.
Finally - only do this with Nylon rims (Losi, Associated and Proline off-road rims are Nylon). If you try it with plastic rims (i.e most touring-car or on-road rims), Acetone will turn 'em into mushy goo quicker than you can say "Whale Oil Beef Hooked".

Once when i was short on money(but had plenty of time ;) ) i could only afford new tires. So i ripped off as much tread as i could from the rim and then spent about 3 hours -*-no joke-*- with a dremel grinding it all out. The seal worked ok and i never had any trouble with the C.A. comming off.
If at all posible i would say to avoid this method but in a crunch it will work :)

Will boiling the rim and tire hurt either of the two? I want to take the tires off two rims and switch them, but I'd like to keep them un-crapped up.

How do you remove tires from rims? Apparently, mounting 'em on an Explorer does the trick.

Haha, good one. But, that only takes off the tread.

I also have some rims with a good set of tires on them that I want to remove without messing up the tire. Will Acetone eat rubber, I am guessing that it will. I am going to try, and dont laugh, soaking them in hot salt water over night. I had a friend tell me a ways back that this will help break the glues bond. Any other ideas for breaking the glue bond without harming the tire and rim?
I will post my success with this experiment.

I do this all the time (right now, actually)! I suggest you use a coffee or potato-flake can with a lid to hold the acetone. XXXER was right about everything else, but I think the acetone might melt the tupperware... When you use this method, EVERYTHING is reusable. No, the acetone doesn't eat the rubber, or the foam, or the wheels (if they're nylon). I do it all the time; it's such a great deal. BTW, my one gallon of acetome has worked for roughly 20 sets of tires without losing effectiveness. It just might last forever... ;)
EVERYBODY should know about this. It works like a freaking charm!

what's the best way to glue tires then? Does it get everywhere cause it's not loose fitting....sorry, I've never glued tires to rims before(ex RC10 owner)
The best way to glue tyres is to use CA or Super Glue. But get the thick/gel kind.
Spot glue the tyre in four places on the inner and outer rim.
Then when the tyre is worn out you can literally rip the tyre off the rim. This just leaves some small areas of glue & tyre which can be cleaned of with the Acetone method.
I have a glass jar with a metal lid full of acetone, just big enough to fit rims into. Pop the rim in put the lid on and leave overnight. Rim is cleaned and acetone can be used repeatedly.
