i just got a radar gun today and i clocked my xxcr with a green machine 3 in it and it went 22 mph i was wondering if this is considered pretty fast for a stock motor?

I never thought of putting a clock on my car! No, I'm just kidding. :D For a stock motor that speed is decent. If you put in a mid turn mod you could get speeds in the 30mph range without having as much maintainance as low turns.

The other night, I took a few zip ties, and strapped my GPS unit to the top of my truck and blasted it up and down a dirt road a few times. That was with an OS .12 CV and a 15/66 gearing. The max speed the GPS recorded was 29 mph. Now, I have recently put on a Mugen MT .12 and 15/64 gear ratio. I will clock it soon to see how fast it goes now! Matt

GPS...hey that's a cool idea to clock your cars with. Kudos dude. I havn't clocked with a radar but with Autoscore if you put in the track length it will calculate average speed per heat. At a Velodrome race I went to in California my oval car was clocked at an average of 69mph for a 4min race.
