Hey all,

I get 15 minute breaks at work, so just now I ran a pack through the M18 in the parking lot. It was pretty cool, first time running it on pavement for a long time. I have it setup for carpet racing, but I just don't have time to race, so I think it's going to be a basher again.

Anyway I was out in the lot, running at high speed. I'm running 6 cells and a mini-T motor, unfortunately not a speed 300 type. Even with pretty good speed I found myself daydreaming about a Mamba/ 3s Lipo setup.

My question for you guys is, since I also have a RC18T, do you think I should go mamba in the M18 or the RC18T? I'm leaning towards the 18T... but shoot the lil M18 is pretty fun too.

I am sure which ever you decide, you will soon buy a second for the other!! :)

Buy it for one and you can always switch it back and forth. Which one do you drive the most?

I second the vote for just swapping the motor/esc out. I have the m18 and a trinity ibs and I just swap the mamba 8000 out. Just velcro the esc and it all comes out with just the motor mount screws.

Get it for the M18. After running one for a little while, you'll finally realize that switching between 2 vehicles is too much and you'll have to buy another. :D

I'm betting I'll have to get 2. I like the M18 because its so durable. Its only onroad, but unlike the RC18T, small bits of gravel don't slow it down, the drivetrain can handle anything I throw at it, and the suspension is well guarded allowing it to cartwheel for days without breaking...

Also with some more power I should be able to drift pretty well. With the pack peaked now I can get up to speed, start a corner and unsettle the car and the tail will swing out. But with all the traction if I don't get it just right it'll jump back in line and accelerate out.

Mmmmmm 3 cell Lipo and mamba would make that lil M18 rock out.....Not sure if I'd get the 8k or not. I think 40mph would be plenty, so maybe the 6800 would do me right on 3s... I should work the math on that one...

Well the RC18T definately has potential, but the constant clicks from the drivetrain, and gravel tearing up the spur has it sitting on the shelf. Oh yea, and it has a blown ESC... But if I were to get the Mamba, that would make the RC18T RTR...

What would be sweet is if I could find a Lipo setup that would fit both of em. The mamba isn't too expensive, but a new charger and 2 or 3 3 cell Lipo packs plus charger sucks....
