Need Your Advise

[very low budget racer]

Im in the market for a new radio. My choices are the Hitec Ranger 3 FM 3 ch stick radio, or the JR XR-2. I can get them both for 90 dollars @ my lhs. I can't decide which to get for my buggy (duratrax axis) I like the FM and 3 ch on the ranger, but it is a stick radio and dont know if it would be easy to hold. I like the computer on the XR-2 but it is only AM. Please post which do yuo like better and why.

Have you looked at the JR XR-3? It's just like the XR-2, but FM and 3 channel.

sticks are for planes man. i have a hitec lynx FM and it's great. you might wanna check it out. it's also about $90

I'd love to get the XR-3 but even now I doubt my parents will even let me get the XR-2 for 90. I'm not sure if I really need the computer part of it, what does it do? And will the fact that it is AM matter? I don't like the lynx (I have the AM and it is a POS, im only 14 and my hand is too big 4 it)

I have a JR XR3 and it is great for the money. The only difference between the XR2 and the XR3 is the XR3 has a third chanell, it is Fm, and has a three model memory. They are good reliable radios. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Look for an XR3 on Ebay. You should be able to find one for about $100 in great shape.

I really have to agree with B3 Bomb, I just bought this thing on Saturday, and it rocks. Of course I got mine a little cheaper, I traded in the servos for $8.00 bucks a piece. I have so many I loose count. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/cool.gif
