View Full Version : Weird question about NIKKO and New Bright RCs.

Does anyone know how fast they go? Just want to compare their speed with the 22 mph hpi sprint. BTW, the NIKKO truck im talking aout are the ones with the 9.6volt battery and can be found at toyrsrus. Thanks

And then you shove a BL motor with a 3s lipo in there and it becomes an instant sleeper....:D (and you probably get a shredded gearbox after a few runs.

go to radio shack and pick up a Lightning. I clocked one at 20 out of the box. theres not many mods for them tho.

Motors, batteries, and ESC's all count as mods. Mods= Modification and they all require that. So, in other words, there are a FEW. :p

makes me remember the evo line of nikko rc.they had motor and wheel upgrades.

yea there are, u can actually fit some new rims and things on them. Im sure if you were mechanical, you could put in a new motor, but the ESC wouldnt hold up so you would have to replace that also. So no, they arent any real mods for those Nikko cars, but there are things you can do to make them a bit faster.

i threw in a 540 size modified 9t, esc, servo, and a receiver in a nikko 1/18 nissan truck i got at a garage sale. i was really bored. i stripped all the gears with one pull of the trigger. ive also strapped a model rocket engine on one and it flew into a tree and broke into like a million pieces. it was pretty cool

Okay, put it this way- They weren't designed to be upgraded. ESC's, motors, and such are all custom stuff that Nikko didn't intend to have put in their cars.
