I was looking for some Rit dye and saw that it comes in powder and liquid. Is there any difference in results?
Thanks,

Nope, used both and they work the same. Just make sure you use a pot or container that you don't mind if it gets stained.....

Liquid is my choice, no worry about it being dissolved. I like to use a coffee can to dye my stuff, that way you don't wreck any pans. Just boil some water, add the dye and parts in the can. Use some waxed dental floss to string the parts together, put them in, throw the coffee lid back on with the floss hangin over the side and wait till your happy with the darkness. Done, and you can chuck the can if you need to.

Coffee comes in cans? j/k
You could also look into some gladware or other disposable containers at your local grocery store. They are pretty cheap and you could toss them too.

Gladware + boiling water = mess in the kitchen
But if you don't have a coffee can or other pan you don't care about, visit your local Habitat for Humanity/Goodwill/A.R.C. store and get one for a dollar or two.

I would think that the liquid would be more uniform and easier to use, but I could be wrong

Yes it "can". Not all of us like the fancy shmancy imported all natural flavored condensed stuff or expresso concentrate. Just give me Maxwell house regular coffee, just regular plain old coffee. Sorry, just had to do it.

I've also used both types of dye with equal results. I do recomend using a mop bucket or a plastic paint bucket that has been properly cleaned out. The coffee cans also work great, but if you have alot of parts to dye that are all going on the same rc it's better to put them in a larger container and dye them all at the same time to make sure they all come out the same color.
