I dont think that is a good idea. And the way you are charging doesnt sound too safe for your batts. You can get a charger that charges 2 batts at once. Dynamite makes one but not sure how much or what it costs.

MRC has charger that can charge 2 batts, and i would think its possible, but not reccomended cause if any cell might have less juice than others and it will overcharger other cells, or undercharge this one. So i would say possible not but not too good

The Triton charger can charge 2-6 cell packs easily. I use it for my E-Maxx,3300's.

I'm gonna whine about MRC. The 959 sucked, so if they followed suit with the 969

The 969 is a different monster all together. I have 2 of them for some reason and I enjoy both of them. Only problems are the 4.5 charge rate on both channels and a wimpy discharge of 3.0

Only with chargers designed for 12 cells, which is not the average. If your charger is a 6-cell charger, it will take twice as long and may cause the charger to overheat.

These helpful comments are all suggesting a different charger, which is always good to have, but if you're going to throw out some money for charging your starter box, your best bet is a gel cell and a float charger. It will cost you less and work better.

A gel cell, also known as a sealed lead acid cell (SLA,) can be found at any car battery store for about $20. The float chargers can be bought there or anywhere they sell recreational vehicle accessories, but you'll probably pay between $30-$40 for them. I found mine NIB on eBay for $17.

The float charger allows you to hook up to the cell and just leave it on any time it's not in use without danger of overcharging. The gel cell fits right inside the box, and once you're set up, you''ll only have to open the box for regular maintenance.
