Hey I thought since alot of other people are asking what we'd like to see happen in whatever form, I figured why not lexan bodies? So whatever kind of bodies that they dont make or they make just not compatible with your car, post it here, maybe HPI or someone will take notice http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

So for me I would like to see the Z3 hatchback, Mercury cougar, Audi TT, and an awesome corvette body available for narrow touring cars. I'd also like to see maybe some Pikes Peak cars for the rally group... So long as rally becomes popular enough. Maybe like an Audi quattro P.P.E. (Pikes Peak Edition)and a Lancia Integrale. Also I want to see some more hatchbacks for touring cars. Maybe a VW Corrado?? The thought of all these nice cars are making me drool http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

So add your suggestions.

DJ- Tamiya made a Z3, Proline makes a Audi TT (but I think it is for the minis), and Proline makes a C5(190mm).
I would like to see more Dodge Ram truck bodies. I like that new Proline Excursion body for the T-Maxx/E-Maxx!

I'd like to see a 2nd generation Toyota MR2 or a new Toyota MRS...I was thinkin about making my own, but I'd need a way to make a mold. Any ideas?

I know of a few monster truck bodies I'd like to see: Goldberg (One MUCH better than the one Parma has out), Reptoid, Stinger, Bulldozer (Be kinda hard to make the horns, though).

Ohh I thought of some more, other than some swim suit models, (sorry steve, couldnt resist) some other bodies I'd wanna see are some Porsche bodies more scaled like the GT cars like in the Rolex 24 and some prototype cars that have been scaled down so that they can fit on smaller tourers, not just the gas cars. Like BMW V12 LMR. and the new AMG CLK 55. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Thats one sleek looking car

OK, here's what I'd like to see:

a BMW M Coupe (or a Z3 coupe)
a PT Cruiser (much better than the Bolink)
a Chrysler Crossfire Concept car (Car and Driver Feb 2001)
some nice & realistic replacements for a XXXT
any of the cool concept cars from the past few years.
VW Jetta
Nice detailed Ferarri 360 Modena (I've seen the Tamiya, but I extpected more)

I guess that's it for now...

One more comment. I demand realism. One thing I can't stand is a body claiming to be something it isn't. I know detail is limited with lexan, but at least get the overall shape and proportions correct! I've seen some real beauties in the R/C market, but I've seen way too many horrible imitations from otherwise respectable companies. IE - what is up with the round Pro-Line Silverados? They are NOT accurate, seriously.

I'd like to see a Dodge Truck Body for the T/E-Maxx, I'd also like to see a Dodge Durango Body for the T/E-Maxx. Can you tell I like the way the Dodge Looks?? http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I, like Steve would like to see a C5R Corvette. But i think Pro-Line is the best when it comes to making a car or truck body look good and close to real! Anyone else think this too?? I gotta get me one of those GMC bodys for my XXXT http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I've seen the Dodge Truck Body for the T/E Maxx thats on the market, I believe Bolink makes it. Its the Ugliest Body I've ever seen. Pro-Line needs to make a Dodge Body for the T/E Maxx, they make the best looking Truck Bodies of all the Companies out there. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Some realistic looking street trucks for TCs, ie the ok looking silverado body that comes on the TC3

Some Street rides from the 80s...Monte Carlos (not the aeroback either), Cutlasss, Regals

SUVs for TCs

more american made cars

all of these should be available 190 or 200

I think that's all

I would like to see more 60's and 70's cars like the Himi cuda, GTO Judge, mach 1 mustangs. I can make a very long list but i think you guys get the point. they should be very detailed.

I agree the bodies are way too ill designed when it comes to realism. Well some, not all. Some nice earlier rides would be cool, they already have several rims to match the bodies, so why not the body to match the rims? Instead of a PT Cruiser, I'd like to see the PT Bruiser, for those that havent seen it, it is a PT Cruiser that is all one paint scheme, no plastic grey things and looks really bad. I think wings west does it. Also I think it would be cool if a company started making lexan ground effects. You would connect them to the body somehow... they could figure out a clever way Im sure. What better way to set yourself apart from all the other Dodge Stratus goers than to have a completely different spoiler and front end? And I wanna see more decals from some of these companies, I was about to put down the 20 for a mondeo body to only realize that there were no decals for anything except some ford racing ones and hood pins... What good is the car with out brake and headlights, y'know?

I dont think someone has put it down but a body that would be very aerodynamic and good looking is a toyota MR2 body. If the did the after market air scoop we could finally cool down the engines http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

About the integra and NSX, I dont think they have 92 and 93 integras, I know that RC Imports has a pretty cool looking late model integra, with the dual heads and the NSX body I think HPI has a couple, there site is www.hpiracing.com (http://www.hpiracing.com) and if you want to look for bodies go to www.rcyellowpages.com, (http://www.rcyellowpages.com,) they have a good product search there.

I want to see a new Bimmer M3, has anyone else seen that thing, oooooh, i am in love, 333HP, out of a 6 cyl. engine, that must make the most beautiful sound ever.

sephiroth720
02-06-2001, 10:45 PM
Actually, I put an MR2 on my list (on the first page of replies). The scoop would be a great idea. Hope the designers at HPI see this post....

No one has answered me yet about making a mold to make our own bodies. I think us enthusiasts would find a new challenge in making bodies by molding our own custom designs and somehow melting or suctioning lexan to the mold. Just a thought. Just think, you showing up to the track with a custom made body with ultimate aerodynamics...

BigCatDaddy-Outlaw

hey seph....720 you could make the mold out of modeler's clay like they do at the major auto companys. it just takes a lot of patientce and time. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey StephenB, have you worn out your copy of The Whole Nine Yards yet? Get a DVD player dude!

Minivans rock! So do golf carts, go-peds, and Rascal scooters.

Hey I think a hot seller for europe would be some Semi bodies. There is a racing league alot like touring cars where they race these huge Mercedes and Peterbuilt and different semis round the course. I am not sure, it might look awkward on some cars but if the back of the truck was raised to clear parts in the back maybe? I'd also like to see a mitsubishi galant super VR-4. Lets pray HPI sees this messege board.

Ok, here are some more beautiful bodies to desire:

- New Nissan Z
- New Mazda RX-8
- New Mosler MT900
- New Saleen S7

Is there a VW golf yet? If not, why?

DJ BlendeR
02-09-2001, 05:29 PM
HPI makes the golf but it is only for the RS4 mini, I think that there is another company who makes one, because a long time ago on the readers rides a guy had an off the wall green one, but I dont know if it is the same body or what. How about a Panoz Q9 or the Panoz Esperante?

I'll tell ya what other body I'd really like to see is a 1930 model A Sedan for a T-Maxx. They have a coupe, but no sedans that I've seen.
