i tryed to dye my ball cups, but i dont think it dies black, does it??? well i tryed and it didnt work....oh well, i also tryed a graphite part, and that didnt work either....what should i do to make them red??? can i paint them red???

You will only have any real success if the parts are white to start with.

You can't dye graphite (or maybe you can, if it's white graphite... which I've never heard of). It should have worked on your ball cups, though. Did you make sure the water boiled? Also, how long did you leave the ball cups in the solution? Since it's black, I would think at least a minute (if not more).

dude, i left the ball cups in there for like 35 min...and i put 2 packs of RIT in it!!! i messed up my whole kitchen, it was all red!! everywhere...lol

Ya you cant dye stuff thats black to another color.The part has to be white.

Only nylon will really change color. Also there is no white graphite as graphites major counterpart is carbon and we all know carbon is black.

Oh! I mis-interpreted your post. I though you were trying to dye your ball cups black. You can't dye black ball cups (well, maybe you can, but you won't see it). Try to find some white ball cups (I don't know who makes these or where to find them). The XXXT Francis Edition should be coming out soon, so Losi will probably offer red ball cups.

actually RPM told me that their yellow ball cups dye better than there white....im not sure why...

Hmmm, interesting. If you try to dye the yellow ball cups, start out with one. That way, if the yellow messes up the red, you won't have wasted an entire set of ball cups.

RPM makes dyable white ball cups.
