hey guys...just coming over from the boat side to ask a quick question about my car. i've got an evader bx. i'm using a trinity 15x2 motor, set at 25 degrees of timing with 27t pinion, and 75t spur. i'd like to up the gearing a little more for some more speed but i can't keep axles on this thing to save my life. i keep throwing the pins out of the cv joing. btw...i'm using the axles from the evader pro. i don't want to add any more speed until i can keep the driveline intact. it's bad enough that the pins will come out after 2-3 minutes of running.

Yeah that would be a good idea. Then when you have to take them out just pour some nail polish remover on it.

if they still come out and you lose them what i do is get a small nail that will fit in the hole and cut it to size then i bend it at the end without the top on it.

put some hose or shrink wrap over them.

The pins on CVDs are kep in place by a little recessed bolt. Use threadlock on that bold and snug it in...not too tight...and you should be fine.

I think they are u-joints not cvd's. The nitro evbx or pro has cvd's.

After you try CA another way to solve that problem is to put a little silly putty over the pin. Hey when your in the middle of a race you'll try anything!

thanks for the tips guys. i'll see what happens. i think i forgot to mention it...but i've even tried soldering them in place. i think shrink wrap will be the next idea i try. or...CA, shrink wrap and a blessing from a shaman
