Would it be possible to make a "dually pickup" out of a R/C. I have been wondering this since I have owned my TL01. The thought first came to my head when I saw a 1999 Ford F350 Super-Duty body. The only problem is this nobody makes a "dually" body that I know of. Would it be possible for someone to make the body and a way to get the "dually rear wheels. If that doesnt work would it be possible to amke the TL01 wider than it is. Some of the coolest bodies are 200mm. Thanks for any help given.

The best way I can think of making a dually pick-up is to attach 2 wheels together at the bead. You'd have to cut out the inner part of the outside wheel so you can get at the nut. It might make out to be a great readers ride!

You'd probably want to get/make a custom axle and use a front wheel with bearings for the outer wheel. Glue the two rims together.

Thanks for your help. Sometime when I get my first check from work I'll try to work on it. I have always thought that it would be awesome. If I use some very super narrow tires I can get both to fit underneath a 200mm body. Is there a way I can run some 28 or 30mm wide tires up front. I think I have found a way but I need a answer if it would work. I plan using the TG10 long axle with the TL01 toe in rear upright. Although I wont use the upright (I have the almn TG10 rear uprights)I figures since the hex hub are longer I could widen the width of the car a little. My parents might have a fit if I put some more money into it. Heck I have spent 850 dollars on this beast. Also is there somebody that makes custom bodies if you ask 'em. Thanks for all your help. As soon as I get some pics of my '00 Protofrom "Chromalusion" car I will put it in my signature. The paint isnt really chromalusion its is just painted to look like the paint Jeff Gordon used on his Superman car.

I only know that they make them for the clod. Imex used to make them and some also makes a special axle type of thing to connect to clod wheels together.

Well I hope in this next week to get on Auto CAD and do some work on the outer axles. Also I will try to contact some companies to see if they can make the axle and body. If any of the adiminstrators have or members have any ideas tell me by emailing me at jcspeed4@juno.com, I'll try to get something worked out. I'm not to sure about it because I may be probably be buying a Tamiya TGX with a 2 speed and laydown gas motor(the lawnmower type). Its great to see that other people are intrested in the same idea.
