Ok, I almost didnt want to start this string because of all the bashing everyone will do, but I need to know. I am going to get into electric touring cars really soon and have no prior experience with them and what makes them good(im an offroad man). I would like to know if you think the rs4 sport 2 or the tc3 racer is better and why. What makes one better than the other. Thanks...

What do want to use the one you decide to go with for?
If you are going to race a few times I think that the TC3 Racer is the way to go. A friend of mine bought the racer kit and on his first weekend out won the stock class with it straight out of the box against cars that were much more expensive. It convinced me to get one - best bang for the buck!

That was me :D

I cleaned up on Schumacher, TC3, Street Weapon, Pro2 - with a Racer (with different springs and foam tires).

I like the TC3 because its fast out of the box, has lots of setup info in the manual and on the web, has ball diffs that are easy to get to and theyre sealed away from the elements. I love the droop screws, no more internal travel limiters to mess with.

The Sport 2 is said to be tougher, take hits better. But is less racy because it has gear diffs which are open to dirt and rocks along with the belts. And the diffs are hard to get to.

Of course I bought the TC3 so maybe a Sport owner could help us....BTW I spent a lot of time at the HPI website and forums, which led to my decision to get the TC3 Racer.

Get what you want - Good luck!

I give props to both cars, I personally do not own a TC3, I do however own a couple of HPI products. I am very satisfied with all of them. The parts and hop-ups are everywhere. The belts are O.K. as long as you stay out of what you are not supposed to be in. The access is a little tough to get to, but if properly maintained, you may never find the need to be doing strip downs on the diffs. I upgraded all the diffs to RRP ball diffs. No problem so far. I have heard good and bad things about the TC3. But the choice is yours.

Thanks alot for giving me real answers, not "hpi ***** , ae rules" type responses. I really appreciate it. It looks like I will probably go with the tc3. ITs what I had planned on anyway, I was just wanting to see if there were any serious complaints.

That pro3 is a dang cool design, though. It's cool, but also hard, that the market is literally FULL of great choices. It makes decisions so hard! Man, I want a TC3, X-Ray, Pro3, and a XXX-s. I'll be lucky to get one of them...

Seems to me that an important factor would be what car(s) PARTS the LHS stocks the best. Nothing's worse that not being able to race because you broke some part that you have to wait days or even weeks to get a replacement for.
