iv heard that by boiling plastic parts they are made stronger. can some one tell me the steps to boiling them correctly? thanks

Stronger is a matter of opinion. Boiling parts usually makes them softer. Softer parts flex a little more, which by extension means they won't break as easily. The change isn't that significant - it's not like you'll suddenly be able to twist a part into a pretzel that was previously hard a diamond, but the parts are fractionally softer. Remove the molded parts and put them in boiling water for about five minutes. shut off the heat at the end of five minutes and let the water cool to room temperature.


BTW - the pic in you sig is too big. Cut it back to about 250 to 300 pixels wide please.

One thing about boiling parts is you can dye them while you boil them. I just tried it on my front bumper and A-arms, just to see how it would look. This weekend, I'm tearing the whole thing down and dyeing every plastic piece there is.

To dye dont they have to be white nylon though? They cant be black.
