A question about XXX-4 & XXX-S drive-trains

I have a question about XXX-4 G+ & XXX-S G+ drive-trains. Are they basically the same? I'd assume their gear ratios are different. But are the put together and adjusted in a same/similar manner?

the xxx-4 is longer than the xxx-s so i dunno if they use the same belt but im sure the rest is the same... i have one but havent got into the guts so i dont really no...

The xxx-4 uses a longer belt and has a slipper clutch. Otherwise, they're the same.

Thanks guys. It may sound like a silly reason to ask but I wanted to see if knowledge gained by assembling a XXX-S would be useful in the assembly of a XXX-4.
