Which new motor?....Newbie here

To everyones recommendation, I am gonna replace my stock 15t motor in my T4 SE RTR with a new one. What are you guys' opinions on these.

Any others motors that you would recommend? Can I use my same pinion or do I need to get a new one?

Did your T4 come with a gearing chart? see what it says as recommended gearing and buy 1 tooth above and 1 tooth below to start with.

These motors will most likely be more powerful than the one that came with the vehicle.

It is a good idea to check the gearing. I haven't checked it for mine, yet. It comes with that 15T motor, but the stock motor in mine got hot as a FIRECRACKER when I used it. I've heard of some others having heat problems and even melting the solder off of the motor. I don't know if it was a gearing issue or if it was just a junk motor.

This Reedy 19T is a great motor. It will last longer, be just as fast, and have more torque for your truck.

What do you think would be better...Trinty Speedgem 17t Extreme or Reedy spec19?

Of i were you I'd go with the Trinity Chamelon 2. Fast motor and alot cheaper to rebuild and a great basher motor as well as a race motor.
