Tower Hobbies Ad...questions

I recently recieved a flyer from tower hobbies that has a big ad on the front that says, "Save $20 off your order of only $50 or more!"

It's ad# 011T5, so if you type it in on the website you can see. The only thing misleading about this is that it says "You save $20 just for trying tower hobbies!" which makes me think its for first time buyers.

BTW, I would call Tower, but its like, 4:00 in the morning :o

If it was sent to you you might be able to use it. Have you ordered from them recently? If not the code might be good for you. Not saying it will work for everyone those codes have to match the account your using them on sometimes.

Well I recently ordered from Tower (no more than a month ago was my last order) but they sent me the flyer and had my customer # on the back. I guess I'll call their customer support or something/

Yea, it is a sort of oxymoron. You do not get the flier unless you have ordered before, so you are no longer a first time customer, and the add is in the flier to go to first time customers.

I called order assistance and the guy wasn't even sure. He said just to ask about it when I place my order.

It is for first time customers and you have to use the offer in the next 30 days. I just started a new account and recieved the flier in question last week. Made me think also but it made sense when I saw 50 dollars or more and in the next 30 days.

Tower has been great to me.. I been with them almost 20 years. If you are a member you get good deals, better deals can be found but for me it is the shipping. I live in northern Alaska and most of the cheap hobby shops charge me a fortune for shipping, tower ships anything all the way here for free.

you also get access to the scratch and dent sales..
and mostly its just the Boxes are damaged you can Pick up a good bargan in there every now and then...
I live In australia and tower also ships to my doorstep no problems....

The Super Saver club rocks! When I need a new engine, I'm looking in there. They always have brand new O.S engines for like, $80 just because its missing a manual or has box damage.

yes it does, free shipping on orders over $150.. worked out well for me when i ordered my Monster Gt.. can't even imagine what that big box would of cost to ship.... :)

Smoothie, I know what you're up to, I do the same thing myself. Unfortunately, you'd have to make 4 separate purchases @ $200 each to get the multiple discounts. Nice try though!

I tried using these ad numbers (spend 50 save 20 for new people) and it worked! once. I have been a tower customer for 5 years. I also have used the ad number spend 200 and save 30 4 times in the last week so I know I can use that multiple times, however it won't let you use the spend 50 save 20 ad number more than once. Sorry, but I had to try!

When I have orded By Phone before..
they Know Im a super saver so I just asked what the monthly freebie was..
I got a Nice duratraxx Body reamer and a automodilsta Mini RC set..for free..;)
always ask what the Monthly freebie is if your in the SS club...;)

But last year They had a Monthly super saver club Bonus (freebie) yeah..
i dont know if your order has to exeed a limit or its Just because your a SS member and Made an order..
Its worth calling and asking tho....

The last freebie I saw was the Duratrax Piranha DC Peak Charger. You get it free with a $150 order. I got one last year. The best code I've seen lately is $25 off $175 (010B9) I was looking for something like I had in February that was $25 off $150. Anybody got anything like that? Mine says it expired.

The SS club wasnt that great when I was in it, the only money I ever saved was on the free shipping of $150+ orders and it payed for itself with that. I was never really interested in the scratch and dent though, and the only deals I ever got was on old stuff that they were probably trying to get rid of, mostly plane stuff. If you don't buy from them for a long time they give you really good deals. I used to spend alot of money with them, but I found cheaper prices elsewhere and didn't buy anything for a year, and they started sending me really good coupons. I think one was $20 or $25 off a $75 order.

Ya. You should get one of these coupons (http://www.towerhobbies.com/ssc/coupons_car.html) in the mail. I dont always get mine so when I place an order I usually check the website just to make sure. I always try to get the freebie and the best discount code everytime I order.
