I have a T3 and interested making my truck have blinding speed. By doing that I could either buy a 6 or less Turn motor or i can just add more batterys. I'll pick the battery path. I didn't know how many batterys it would take to make a big difference to a 13double. My guess was either just strap in the normal 6 cell battery and add a 4to6 cell and use a speacial combinder to transfer two connectors(two batterys)to one connector (the ESC). Or I can just solder all 12 of them together(that probably wont work...just wondering). Would I have to gear down if I did this. What ESC would I use. I couldn't use the LRP ESC's they cant handle more than 7 cells.

The LRP 7.1 could handle it. Thats what Cliff Lett used in his 96mph TC3 in the May issue of RCCA. To get the speed, the batteries would have to be soldered together in series, like one big battery pack. If you use a "y" connector between two packs like you mentioned all you would do is double the capacity. This would increase your run time but do nothing for the speed. Actually it would decrease because of the added weight. For extreme speed you would want to put the biggest pinion that you can fit on the motor. Hope this helps :)
