HPI Savage truck owners can now upgrade to a cast alloy brake hub. The alloy construction allows the hub to dissipate heat and prevents the hub from melting at high temperatures. This new hub a heavy-duty direct bolt-on replacement for the stock plastic brake hub. At a low price of just $3.00, this will be a popular upgrade part for Savage truck racers.

Part no. 86318 - Brake Hub (Alloy Cast / Silver)
Price: $3.00

For a little more money I'd opt for a HB steel hub. That looks like cast pot metal...

Or just get the HPI Twin Disks and get a steel hub included

Wow it only says:
HPI Savage truck owners can now upgrade to a cast alloy brake hub.

Its $3. What more do you want? It will do the job just as well as a machined part that costs a lot more.

Well, you know what they say...you get what you pay for.

yep and there's also paying more then you need to. And there's also overkill. I am not saying everyone needs to only spend $3 on one, and the others are junk. I just see other things you could spend the money you save on.

Hey, if it gets the job done, then that $3 will be the best $3 you'll ever spend...

This looks like it'll hold up just fine. Anythings an improvement over the stock unit ;)
